Season Details
Fall 2026 at a glance
These details reflect the current Fall 2026 plan. If the league changes dates, locations, or scheduling, we will update this page.
1. When does the season start?
Practices officially begin June 15, 2026. From June 15 through June 29, practices are planned for Mondays and Thursdays. Beginning July 6, practices move to Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
Games are scheduled to begin August 15, 2026. Game times and final locations are announced through the league schedule.
2. When and where are practices?
For Fall 2026, practices are currently planned at Trailhead Park in Minneola. At some point during the season, practices may move to the Minneola Athletic Complex. Any location change will be communicated to families.
3. How long is the season?
The regular season begins August 15 and is expected to run for approximately 10 weeks. Teams generally play 8–10 games during that period, with roughly half designated as home games.
The postseason follows the regular season and continues until a team is eliminated or reaches the end of the playoff schedule.
4. What is the format of play?
Fall football uses an 11-on-11 format with kickoffs, punts, field goals, and a regulation game clock.
5. What age divisions are offered?
The Fall 2026 football program includes 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U divisions.
6. What does the registration fee cover?
The registration fee helps cover the athlete uniform and program operating expenses. Program costs include league-related expenses such as insurance, field rentals, and practice-field costs.
The football uniform includes the game jersey and pants, which the athlete keeps at the end of the season.
7. What equipment does the athlete need?
Athletes should bring practice jerseys, cleats, a mouthguard, padded practice pants, and water to practice.
Athletes may use their own shoulder pads and helmet. If they do not have them, the program can loan shoulder pads and a helmet at no additional cost, subject to availability and program procedures.
8. Is there a minimum playing requirement?
There is no league minimum playing requirement (MPR). Practice attendance, preparation, effort, development, team needs, and game situations can all affect playing time.
9. Where will games be played?
Game locations and times are set by the league and may vary throughout Central Florida. The Soldiers do not control every away-game location. Final schedules will be shared as they are released.
10. How many athletes are allowed on a team?
Because Fall football uses an 11-on-11 format, rosters can support more athletes than smaller-sided formats. The program monitors roster size and may cap a division when necessary to maintain a workable team size.
